After high demand from our customers we decided to work on something special. We have been developing it for quite some time and have finally got it cracked - so we are finally ready to share it with the world.
Charcoal is a mixture shade, a marl if you will. As we manufacture most of our garments in ecru, (which is the colour of the wool as it comes straight from the sheep) and then dye them to our colour palette which are predominantly solid shades, this was always going to be a difficult task for us.
Previously we thought it impossible to manufacture a marl yarn with our signature SPRIOL yarn as there are lots of technicalities involved which is why we have never had one quite like it in the range. We never wanted to compromise our quality and have a lambswool garment without SPRIOL (our unique and technical yarn) as our customers have come to expect a high level of quality with our garments which we could never go back on.
The yarn requires its own unique knitting program on the machine as a marl yarn reacts differently in knitting and finishing than our ecru garments, which all added to the lengthy process of creating this unique garment. In reality it actually took 3 times as long as expected to create the yarn but we were not going to stop until the garment was perfect and of the highest standard. We finally achieved this several prototypes and wearer trials later and all the blood, sweat and tears were worth it-we hope you agree.
We love Charcoal so much we have made it in every style of garment in Lambswool for men.
