Style of the Month - Slipover

The slipover is a staple part of any man’s or woman’s sports wardrobe.

It is believed to have first been worn by rowers in the late 19th century and soon became a firm fixture for American football players with their team’s monogrammed crest proudly displayed on the chest.

In the 1950s and again in the 1970s the slipover made the jump into the world of fashion, especially for men. Today it is worn for hunting, shooting, fishing, golf, tennis, and many other sports because of its versatility.  On days when a jumper is just too much, or if you want to keep warm until you tee off, the slipover is just perfect.

At Glenbrae we know how popular this style is so we offer it in both Lambswool and Merino, for men and ladies.  The style and fit have been carefully developed to give the best fit with the men’s option having a higher V-neck and the ladies having a deeper V-neck.

We also offer a full embroidery service,  so if you would like your club’s crest on yours, just ask your pro for details.
