Glenbrae knitwear is available in the following fibres:
Lambswool is the very first shearing from a merino sheep, usually around the age of 7 months. The fleece is first sorted by fineness. We then select the strongest, finest fibres and spin these thicker than the yarn we use in our merino sweaters for extra warmth.
Merino wool is any subsequent shearing from a merino sheep. After selecting the finest fibres of the fleece, we choose only the strongest of these to make our garments. This reduces fibre damage in the finished product and ensures our garments retain their shape.
